Freeze Dried Shiitake Mushrooms

Light to dark brown umbrella like cap with tan gills. Stems are smooth and fibrous. Rich earthy umami flavour with a meaty texture. Used in stir fries, soup, sauces and topping for grilled dishes. Shiitake mushrooms are a popular meat substitute.
Freeze drying helps preserve more of the mushroom’s natural nutrients. However, it does not sterilize the product. Once rehydrated, mushrooms should be thoroughly cooked to ensure they are safe to eat.
Usage instructions: To use, rehydrate by soaking in warm water for 15–20 minutes before cooking.
